What To Pack for a Girls Trip

I'm going to share something about me with you all today that even I can't believe.  I haven't been on a girls trip in over six years!  Yep, that's right...I haven't been on a trip with just girls, besides work events, in what seems like forever.  I have three kids, the oldest is six, and it was before he was born that I was able to leave for a weekend get away.  Now don't get me wrong, I've been on plenty of trips with the hubby and friends, I've just never been able to leave all three kids with my husband for the weekend.  It doesn't help that I have a just turned two year old that is literally like an appendage on me, but that's another story.  So, yes, I will be off on a weekender to Chicago with the girls and I'm totally pumped. Question is, what to wear?  I've pulled a few outfits together that can take you from day to night, pack easily, and will have you looking smokin hot on your next vacay.

I already own a chambray top but I wear it so much that I bought another one.  Do you ever do that?  I know it sounds ridiculous, but whenever I want to wear it, the shirt always seems to be dirty so I really needed another one, right?  Well this one is from the J. What to Wear for Thanksgiving

What to wear for Thanksgiving is something I struggle with sometimes.  I definitely want something that will be comfy since I'm sitting around all day eating and or chasing kids....mostly at the same time!  So I want stylish, yet versatile and fall colors are a must.  I will be bringing you all this week, Thanksgiving week, two different yet equally gush worthy looks that I would be happy to rock this Thursday.  Today, I bring you the dress....

I love a burnt orange frock particularly this time of year, as it is the perfect statement piece to wear to your Thanksgiving soiree.  Accessorize with tights, boots and jewelry and you're a shoe in to win best dressed, besides the turkey, on this Turkey Day.

Look for unexpected details like this bi-colored tie back that adds a little pop of a coordinating color to the dress.

Do you ever get fashion inspirations based on color schemes you see that reflect the mood of the season?  Well I do, so when I found out My Friday's Fancies is all about fall treat inspirations, I was hooked!  I mean, who can look at the pumpkins, gourds and rich colors of this season and not get inspired.  I actually did a post this summer about how the colors in watermelon and lemonade influenced my fashion choices that season, and today is all about this season... fall.  So take a lot at the pieces I pulled based on these yummy, and super fabulous candy apples.  My mouth is watering!
